From a start up with founders Mike and Ben in 2014, CGP|MEP has grown into a thriving business with city centre offices in Leeds and London.

2014: The Beginning

Starting with just two founders, CGP|MEP began its journey in 2014. Operating from a small office in London, Mike and Ben established a company dedicated to excellence and innovation in every project.

Our very first project, Karma House, gave us the opportunity to showcase our expertise. Karma House was built as an 18 storey tower providing 450 units of student accommodation.

2016: A New Leader in Leeds

What started as a conversation over coffee between Mike and Dave, led to Dave joining Callaghan Green as Operations Director, opening our Leeds office.

With an initial plan to build a small team and deliver for a handful of trusted clients, that plan quickly evolved as we outgrew our first office, then the second, before finding our current home.

2019: Five Years, A New Name

As the company continued to grow, 2019 was our 5th year and the time for a change! CallaghanGreen became CGP|MEP

500 Projects and Counting! – Hillside School

Reaching our 500th project was a monumental achievement. The project for Hillside School was to expand the current offering increasing the number of student places available from 60 to 90.

Each project represents the trust our clients place in us, and we’re proud to have played a role in shaping so many spaces across the UK.

Office moves

We’ve had a number of different offices to keep up with the growth of our team and portfolio. Both the Leeds and London teams relocated to larger, modern spaces, creating environments where our people could thrive. London started in a small office in Surbiton before moving to Fitzrovia and Kings Cross before moving to the current office (as of November 2024) in St Pauls. Leeds started in Pudsey before a move to larger premises in the City Centre, a short walk away from the train station.

Giving Back: Our Commitment to CSR

Corporate Social Responsibility has always been at the heart of CGP|MEP. Over the years, we’ve:

  • Sponsored sports teams and players including Wakefield Trinity
  • Made monthly foodbank donations to help those in need.
  • Hosted tables at charity events with clients to fundraise for important causes.
  • Participated in Mission Christmas, spreading joy during the festive season.

These efforts reflect our belief in building not just great projects but also stronger communities.

Celebrating Our People

Our success wouldn’t be possible without the dedication and talent of our amazing team. At CGP|MEP, we take pride in giving back to our staff with memorable events such as:

  • Doncaster Races outings.
  • Festive Christmas parties.
  • Participation in industry events like UKREiFF.
  • Taking part in Charity Fundraising
